One of the UK’s most elegant and culturally rich cities, Bath thrives during the colder months. With a Christmas market voted one of the best in the country, you’re sure to find plenty of gifts for your loved ones and try some tasty treats in the meantime.

However, the main attraction here is the Roman Baths. Boasting a spa and hot springs, the spa is one of the best-preserved Roman remains left across the globe. The Baths also stays open until late, allowing you to indulge in a three-course meal at the on-site Pump Room Restaurant.

While you can’t actually bathe here, there is the Thermae Bath Spa located nearby. A trip to the spa is sure to spruce up any stay, providing much-needed refuge from the cold weather outside.
