Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel : luxury on The French Riviera
The Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel – The Most Beautiful Hotel in the World according to the Prix Versailles 2024
The Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel was one of 16 hotels shortlisted for the Prix Versailles 2024, announced on 11 July 2024.
This international architecture and design award celebrates the hotel’s outstanding design, blending modern sophistication with the timeless beauty of its natural surroundings. The award is a testament to the hotel’s commitment to excellence in both aesthetics and functionality, making it a standout destination on the French Riviera.
Prime Location
The Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel is situated in one of the most coveted locations on the French Riviera. Cap d’Antibes, a picturesque peninsula nestled between Cannes and Nice, is renowned for its stunning coastline, lush greenery, and charming old town.
The hotel itself is located directly on the waterfront, providing guests with direct access to a private beach and mesmerizing views of the Mediterranean Sea.
The hotel’s location makes it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding region. The historic town of Antibes, with its cobblestone streets, bustling markets, and ancient fortifications, is just a short drive away. A bit further afield, the glamorous city of Cannes offers high-end shopping, vibrant nightlife, and the famous Croisette.
Nice, with its rich history, beautiful architecture, and the stunning Promenade des Anglais, is also within easy reach.
For those who enjoy nature, the Cap d’Antibes peninsula is dotted with beautiful walking trails, including the famous Sentier du Littoral, which offers breathtaking views of the coastline. Nearby Juan-les-Pins is known for its lively beaches and annual jazz festival, providing a lively contrast to the tranquility of Cap d’Antibes.
Architecture of the Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel
Designed to harmonize with the natural landscape, the hotel’s structure incorporates clean lines, expansive glass windows, and natural materials, creating a seamless connection between the indoors and the stunning Mediterranean scenery.
Redesigned in 2023 by Bernard Dubois, the Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel is now renowned for its modernist, minimalist style. The architect has created a sober, geometric construction, with clean lines and curves reminiscent of the houses in Palm Springs, California. Light-colored plaster and granite, broken stone floors and rough-hewn wood furnishings are reminiscent of Mediterranean villas.
The minimalist yet luxurious design ethos emphasizes openess and light, with each room and suite offering panoramic sea views and private terraces.
The use of local stone and wood in the construction pays homage to the region’s architectural heritage, while modern touches ensure a comfortable and stylish stay.
The hotel’s public spaces, including its infinity pool and private beach area, are thoughtfully designed to offer both aesthetic appeal and functional relaxation.
Luxurious Suites and Rooms
From the moment you step into the Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel, you are enveloped in a sense of tranquility and refinement. The hotel boasts 35 beautifully appointed rooms and suites, each designed with a modern yet timeless aesthetic. Large windows and private terraces allow guests to soak in the breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea, creating a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor living.
The suites offer additional space and privacy, with separate living areas, larger terraces, and breathtaking sea views.
Each room is unique and thoughtfully designed.
The Le Cap suite is the iconic room of the hotel. Measuring 66 m², with a terrace, suspended above the water, it offers spectacular views of the sea from every part of the room.
All furniture pieces were custom-designed for the hotel by Bernard Dubois. They are unique and specially designed for each room.
Private Beach and Pool
The hotel’s private beach offers a serene spot to relax and unwind. With comfortable loungers, attentive service, and crystal-clear waters, it’s easy to spend the entire day on a sun lounger, sipping cocktails under the shade of an umbrella.
However, for those looking to stay active, the hotel provides a range of water sports, including paddleboarding and snorkeling.
The Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel also features a stunning infinity pool, surrounded by lush gardens and shaded cabanas. It’s the perfect place to cool off after a day of exploring the nearby attractions, such as the charming town of Antibes or the glamorous city of Cannes.
Overlooking the Mediterranean, the sensory pool seems to extend endlessly into the sea. It is bordered by a large multi-level terrace. Overlooking it, in the quiet of a pergola, the view is breathtaking.
The Spa
The hotel’s spa offers a range of wellness and relaxation treatments, including massages, facials, and other therapeutic services designed to enhance relaxation and rejuvenation. The spa facilities are typically designed to complement the hotel’s luxurious and serene atmosphere, providing a tranquil retreat with stunning views of the Mediterranean. The holistic products in the Holidermie range are natural and organic.
In partnership with Le Tigre Yoga, classes are offered in the exotic garden and on the roof terrace. If you prefer a more individual approach, they also offer private classes.

The hotel boasts two restaurants, a beach bar restaurant (Baba) which is open from 12:00 am to 11:30 pm and a Michelin-Starred Gourmet Restaurant (Les Pêcheurs), which is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 7:30 to 10:30 pm.

The rust-colored marble floor extends over the Mediterranean. In the evening, the terrace provides a romantic setting, perfect for enjoying the sunset over a glass of fine wine.
