On the drive down the PCH, Laguna Beach is located about halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego, so it seemed to be the perfect stopping point for some photos of this outfit.
Outfit of the day : Street-Style Laguna Beach *
Laguna Beach is just a few kilometres from Crystal Cove State Park, where you can take advantage of some fantastic hikes and stunning views and it’s just a 20 minute drive from the nearby, larger Newport Beach.
I was really keen to try some photos on the beach, so I opted for the slightly quieter, but gorgeous Laguna Beach, which is a seaside village with over 7 miles of coastline and it’s not just one beach – it’s 20 small beaches and coves!
Laguna Beach is quite small, but there is plenty to do, apart from the obvious water sports, such as diving, surfing, stand up paddleboarding, snorkeling, skim- boarding and kayaking, you can also hire bikes, hike in the nearby Parks, as well as visiting the numerous art galleries inLaguna Beach.
There are also a number of small boutique shops, selling clothes, jewellery, chocolate, bath salts and home decor.
Watch out for the waves however! This one caught me completely by surprise!
Another useful feature of Laguna Beach is the free trolley service, which operates during the summer and at weekends. These old-time vehicles pick you up and drop you off at numerous stops along the PCH and around Laguna. The quaint feel to these buses helps add to the impression that you have just taken a step back in time. The trolley runs every 20 minutes along the Pacific Coast Highway from Viejo Street down to the Ritz-Carlton in Dana Point. have a look here for the detailed schedule.
Finally, there is a wide variety of restaurants from coffee shops to diners, to beach cafés and steak houses so you won’t go hungry.
See below for more information on what to do and where to stay in Laguna Beach.
If you are in the area, then do also visit the Crystal Cove State Park if you enjoy hiking, drop in to Fashion Island at Newport Beach for some shopping and visit the beautiful nearby Balboa Island.
The sunsets along the coast are magnificent too!
Now, for where to find my outfit:
The maxi-dress is from Forever 21, and I bought it just a few weeks ago. However, I already can’t find it on-line! There are however an extensive range of maxi-dresses at Forever 21, starting in price at around 20 USD and you can see them all here.
The jacket is the same as in my previous photos, as following my own advice on how to pack, I only bought one jacket with me to match all my outfits (luckily it also matched the Forever 21 dress I bought on holiday perfectly!)

Thank you! It was a great day and the beach was gorgeous – I miss it already 🙂
I’m from Orange County, and this is so near where I live, and it’s wonderful to see that you enjoyed LB and took some wonderful photos. Crystal Cove is generally empty though cause it’s a state beach you have to pay to get into, so I personally haven’t ever seen it full at all. It’s one of my favorite beaches to visit in California.
Heba xx
Thank you Heba! I agree Crystal Cove is lovely and quiet and I really enjoyed the hike around the state park 🙂
PS you are very lucky to live near LB!!
What stunning pictures!! You look gorgeous! And usually I’m not one for dresses, but that maxi looks absolutely beautiful and I love the color!!
Thank you Kristina! I love the colour too 🙂
That maxi dress, you and the photos are stunning!
It looks like you were alone on the beach.
Ahhhh….Languna. It makes me smile and sigh at the same time. I want to be there!
California is such a beautiful State.

Thank you Kathrine! I tend to have an obsession with belts (I’m convinced they make me look thinner!). Laguna beach was lovely, even though I was only there a short time. Hope you have a lovely weekend 🙂

That dress is gorgeous! The photos where the waves caught you are beautiful. They look like they came straight out of a magazine! And Laguna beach sounds like an amazing place to visit. I’d love to stop at Fashion island.
