Why you should visit San Antonio, Texas

Texas is classed as the second largest state in the USA, but yet, it is probably still under the radar when it comes to booking holidays and visiting some of the amazing cities and locations within it, so here are my reasons why you should visit San Antonio Texas.

Of course, if you think of Texas, you may think of Houston because of the space connection, Dallas because of the historical events with a previous US president, or even Austin because of the live music connection.

Why you should visit San Antonio, Texas

San Antonio

 The relaxed vibe

When it comes to a holiday, a lot of the time you just want to be able to relax and unwind. The whole reason you are booking the break is to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, so a city break may not appeal, but this is where San Antonio could surprise you.

It has a real relaxed vibe, more so than some of the other states in the area. The River Walk especially is one of the vibrant locations to visit, adorned with unique cafes and beautiful bistros, you can find yourself a great spot, enjoy some great food and drink and watch the world go by. If that doesn’t sound like a great way to spend your time, then what is?

What to do in San Antonio, Texas

Finding decent accommodation

One of the biggest factors of a holiday is the accommodation and where you stay, from city centre complexes and luxurious hotels to more affordable options or even self catering options on websites like AirBnb.

The best times to travel there

Of course, when it comes to wanting decent weather, the summer months are always going to be seen as the warmest. But often the heat can be a little unbearable, especially if you are the type of person who likes to walk around and really see the destination. So traveling between November and April will see you enjoying comfortable temperatures, while benefiting from a lower cost in terms of accommodation.
